Went to James Longs on a Friday evening. We were greeted at the door by a lovely young man who we later found was named Keith. He took us upstairs... read more and gave us a table with the most majestic view of Dingle Harbour at dusk. The atmosphere in James Longs was a melting pot of culture, with people exchanging stories and laughs. We got food and drinks. I got the steak sandwich, it was beautiful and the pepper sauce was an amazing touch to compliment the meat.
Then I ordered the crown jewel which was the sticky toffee pudding. Words can't describe how good it is. I would merely say if I was having my last meal this would be it.
The cocktail menu is stunning. The strawberry daiquiri was amazing and was fresher than any strawberry you'd get from Wexford. Needless to say I will be returning again.
I cant thank the staff enough, so accommodating and helpful.

Came to James Long because it was under 'seafood' restaurants online. There were only three seafood options on the menu. The seafood pizza was middling - very oily but generous... read more with the seafood. The black pudding, chicken and chorizo salad was swimming in oil and had barely any salad in it. We both felt rather overpowered by fattiness for the rest of the day. This was rather a disappointing culinary experience for those who are dedicated foodies, but the staff were lovely so we didn't have the heart to complain to them. Service was very efficient as well. The two stars are only for the staff and not the food!

Visited here during the peak of beautiful summer weather during a very challenging time for restaurant owners..
Our group was 6 adults and 2 kids and we cannot compliment the... read more staff of Longs Bar on how they handled everything... it was extremely busy and they were dealing with walk ins, bookings, drinks and food orders while maintaining social distancing to perfection.. we were given a table upstairs inside window with magnificent view of Dingle Harbour.. the menu on offer was excellent, and our food was outstanding from starter to dessert. Cathal , the proprietor, asked if we were OK everything and very friendly towards kids and ourselves. There were several people turned away ad they were booked out , but we were never felt rushed..pints of Guinness were devine. Fabulous staff, delicious food, great Guinness, fantastic location.. 100% from us. Cant wait to go back.. Full compliments to Cathal and staff, a great experience.. Top trumps in Dingle Town!
